We are also busy preparing for the January 2011 Winter Retreat with guest teacher, "The Nickel Lady" Pat Speth. At this time we have room for 1 or 2 students in each class. You still have time to reserve a space for the Maddox dinner and trunk show on Friday, January 7th. Pat has written 4 books that focus on making scrappy quilts with 5" squares. Her latest book, "Nickel Quilts & Borders" has seven new quilt designs and over 260 border ideas. You won't want to miss the chance to meet her and see her wonderful designs.

A new 5x5 year kicks off on January 29th, 2011. Each year Village Dry Goods offers a new 5x5 tote bag. The bag is $5. Bring it in on a 5th Saturday (there are 5 months in 2011 with a 5th Saturday) and everything that fits in the bag is 25% off!
