Welcome to Mormon Handicraft! We are the oldest quilt store in Utah organized in 1938 during the great depression.
Even though we’ve changed locations over the last few years due to downtown construction we are alive and well!
We are currently located inside of the beautiful Fort Union Deseret Book store at 72nd South and approximately 1100 East. Mormon Handicraft is located upstairs with a balcony overlooking the bookstore.
We are dedicated to creating memories and traditions by featuring state of the art heirloom quality fabrics and quilting supplies. Our store features hundreds of bolts of fabric for all ages to include: Civil War fabrics, Aunt Gracies, Amy Butler, Patriotic, Riley Blake, Moda, and many children’s and flannel lines.
Our store also features a large Lion House Pantry to wet your appetite. We are lucky to be inside of one of the largest book stores in the company. In addition to our Quilt Shop, we have many decorative and home décor items for sale.
Flag Day is our celebration for Shop Hop. We well be transforming our store into a patriotic experience just for you! Visit with us to receive your free quilt pattern, refreshments, games, prizes, and a free gift!
My 91 year old Mother would like a quilt with bonnets...I think I know what she means...the old fashioned frontier bonnets...she remembers one her Mother made her as a child and has mentioned how much she loved it so many time so I am trying to find one already made or just the material and someone to make it...don't know if you can help or have any suggestions..
