Did You Know This?

As representatives from each of our 15 shops met last week to discuss our 2011 Shop Hop, it dawned on me that several of us have been featured in Better Homes and Gardens "Quilt Sampler". For years, the issue came out in May and highlighted ten stores around the country; at some point, it was published twice a year, as it is now.

Whimsy Cottage was the first shop from Utah to be in the magazine - that was 2002. We were followed by Corn Wagon Quilts, Pipers, Material Girls, Quilter's Haven and this year, Pine Needles. That's 6 our of 15 and I expect the rest of the shops in our Hop will be recognized as well - each has its own personality and each is worth visiting over and over - cumulatively, we're the best of the best!

I, too, will mention our Fall Frenzy - it's a chance to win $100 gift certificates, get free patterns and see what's new. Our annual birthday sale always happens in October, so we're coordinating it with the Frenzy - we'll have our special sales in effect all four days - October 13th through the 16th. Mormon Handicraft fall events.

Mormon Handicraft has three exciting events in the next few weeks. September 17 and 18 is our fall open house. We are featuring displays of our upcoming classes through December 2010, and offering 20% off of all class sign up fees and fabrics.

Ladies' Night is our next fun event taking place on Saturday, October 2 from 6-8 p.m. We will be having door prizes for the first 100 ladies through the store...line up usually begins around 5 p.m. for this. Refreshments, door prizes throughout the evening, demonstrations and authors on the book floor of our location and in our quilt shop will take place. We also will be offering 20% off all purchases during the 6-8 time period!

Last but not least is our Fall Frenzy event. We are combining our annual fall sale with our Wasatch Front Fall Frenzy , and will be offering you 20% off all our regularly priced fabrics for the whole week of October 11-16! This is a great opportunity for you to stock up on all you need for your upcoming holiday sewing.

Nadine here from the Material Girls Quilts. Mark your calender's peeps, it is almost time for the "Wasatch Front Fall Frenzy" event!! October 13-16. Fifteen fantastic shops along the Wasatch Front will be celebrating with a "Fall Party" that is sure to be the event of the season!!
