Join us for another stunning Block of the Month. "Civil War Chronicles" tells the strories of 12 women who encountered their own struggles on the home front while their husbands were away. Each pattern includes historical background and biographies about the generals' wives. We offer free demonstrations of the block construction each 3rd Saturday, while you pick up your kit.
Friendship Triangles Exchange A must-see trunk show by Laundry Basket Quilts kicks off our exciting exchange program during our Winter Celebration Open House Week, January 10th -15th. Join by picking up a "Cinamon Stick" (a dark/light fabric combination with 2" half-square triangle paper), sew your half-square triangles and return them to the shop. Then come in on "Exchange Days" and receive 54 squares of different color combinationa! We'll turn our scrappy squares into gorgeous projects designed by Eyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts, based on colors from her fabric lines by Moda.
Charity Quilts 2011 This year we want to help provide full size quilts for elderly Native Americans still living on their reservations. Pick up your free fabric kit in the shop and enjoy creating for someone in need.
Quilts of Valor 2011 Teach a friend the joys of quilting at our expense! On selected Fridays, 2-4 pm. we'll open our classroom for you to teach a non-quilter friend how to piece. We'll supply the fabrics and patterns to create a "Quilt of Valor" to be awarded to an honorable service member or veteran.
Sweet Jelly Roll Classes Free classes this year to enjoy the creativity available with 2 1/2 " precuts. We offer a different quilt pattern each month. Getting Ready for Shop Hop 2011
We're very excited to present our novel theme "Treasure Island" during the Wasatch Front Shop Hop June 15th thru 18th - "The Best Quilt I Ever Read". We're designing with pirates and treaure maps, chests of gold and sailing ships! This year will be the best ever.
