Elaine's Quilt Block to present Treasure Island

Welcome Spring! from Elaine's Quilt Block. Just in time for our new Class Schedule and Celebration Week, Monday, May 2 thru Saturday, May 7, with Scissor Sharpening while you wait on Saturday 10:00-3:00.
We're offering another Civil War Block-of-the-Month, May thru November. Faithful & Devoted: "Adelaide" (pinks) or "Charlie" (blues). The blocks are based on letters and diaries of the courtship between a young solider and his love, as they are separated by hundreds of miles during the raging war. We'll learn 12 intricate center blocks with beautiful settings and options.
An example of a new class offering, Cathedral Cutie, teaches a fun technique to create the
Cathedral Windows block with no hand sewing involved.
Among our regular favorites, T-Shirt Memories will help you turn those faborite themed t-shirts into a great memory quilt. Block prepartion and design options are covered and you will go home with a layout planned.
Go to our website, www.elainesquiltblock.com for dates and details, plus info about what will be on sale during Celebration Week.
We've been busy planning a Pirate Treasure Map quilt for the Wasatch Front Shop Hop 2011. We're hoping our secret formula to make the map look like ancient scroll paper works out! And beware of pirates in the store June 15-June 18--our theme for "The Greatest Quilt I Ever Read" is Treasure Island.
